What we provide to the community

Ubuntu will shift the standard of living of marginalized people by providing skills in assertive communication, decision making, problem solving, and emotional resilience; Ubuntu will boost the at-risk population by instilling hope and cultivating self- sufficiency.

Ubuntu strives to be the blueprint that challenges communities to create an environment in which togetherness=success.

We want to provide programs/classes, resources, events that:

Provide opportunities for healthy life choices

Provide success-oriented activities

Build resiliency beyond basic survival skills

Attain higher levels of thinking

Build trust with local community providers, advocates, and business

Building better relationships

Increase self-advocacy skills (find their voice)

Why we serve our community

Our founder Rashida Bantu-Foster started the Ubuntu Project because she wanted to help support the at-risk population that society has abandoned and challenge the disparaging narratives within this group of people. Her vision is now our vision: to provide hope to families that are too often overlooked, discouraged, and isolated to advocate for themselves.
